About Daryl 

After studying studio art in school and  spending many years designing and painting residential murals, I  eventually came to focus on creating my own paintings influenced by  local landscapes. Immersed in the beauty of the Hunterdon countryside I  work to express my impressions in traditional or abstract styles. My  paintings usually begin with plein air sketches with color notes and  photos. Much of the work is painted in my studio. Often a favorite scene  will develop into many paintings with slight changes in color, layout,  etc.  Some of these paintings might become abstracted versions. My  medium is oil, applied with brushes and/or palette knives. Paintings are  done on canvas, board, or quality archival oil paper.
